Jemima Nathlene (Grove) Long, 95, passed away on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20,  2017, with at the Benton Cemetery, with Pastor Justin Lefto of the Benton United Methodist Church officiating.
Jemima was born on June 26, 1922, the daughter of Roy and Lottie (Brown) Grove in Bridgeport, Ill. She graduated from Benton High School in 1940, and married Floyd A. Long on Sept. 18, 1940, in Salina.
Jemima worked for Shepler’s Western Wear in their catalog department and as a bus driver for USD 375 Circle Schools. She was a member of the Benton United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed working with her hands with yarn and crocheting.
Her loving family includes: her sister, Almeda Shaffer of Augusta; a niece and her husband, Shelley and Fred Hopkins; a nephew and his wife, Dale and Pat Shaffer all of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd in 2012; and her son, Kenneth Long.
