Thomas "Tom" Lawrence Musick, 79, passed away on July 9, 2017

Thomas “Tom” Lawrence Musick, 79, went to be with his Lord on July 9, 2017.  He was suffering complications of a stroke.
Tom was born in 1937 and was raised in Burrton, Kan.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Carol; sons, Mike (Katie), and Doug; grandchildren, Charity, Keeley, Zoe, and Joe; sister, Marguerette Edmundson of Colby, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olvy and Hazel Musick, and sisters, Frankie Schreiber (Mel) and Sara Foiles (Jerry).
Tom was a member of the Andover United Methodist Church and American Legion.  He was an alumnus of Hutchinson Junior College and the University of Wichita (WSU).  He was also a Mason and a member of the Midian Shrine for over 50 years. The day before he and Carol were married he received a letter from Uncle Sam and he spent the next two years as a medic in the U.S. Army. He spent his adult life working in Food Service Management at Wichita State University, University of Missouri Kansas City, The Big Texan Steak Ranch, and he retired after spending ten years as Director of Food Service for USD 385 Andover. Tom loved auctions and was an avid collector.  He collected PEZ dispensers, potato mashers, milk glass, Swanky Swigs, and Happy Meal toys.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, 502 W. Central Ave., Andover. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Andover United Methodist Church, 1429 N. Andover Rd., Andover. Interment will be in Burrton Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017.
