Oral "Wes" Wesley Moody, 81, passed away on July 8, 2017

Oral “Wes” Wesley Moody, 81, formerly of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Kansas Veterans’ Home in Winfield.
Cremation has taken place and Wes will be laid to rest at the Winfield Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery.
Oral Wesley Moody was born on Nov. 17, 1935 to loving parents Harry and Lucille Moody in Ponca City, Okla.  Wes attended Kaw City High School and in 1954 he joined the Army. He enjoyed a career in the Army for over 20 years as a helicopter mechanic, after his retirement from the Army, Wes worked at Walmart and as a host at the El Dorado State Park. On Feb. 20, 1994 he was united in marriage with Mary Lou Gilliland in Golden, Colo. In his free time Wes enjoyed working on cars, fishing, camping, RVs and being part of his local American Legion.
Surviving to honor his memory are:  his wife, Mary Lou Moody; son, Wes Moody and his wife Avalona; grandchildren, Tausha Pancoast, Trisha Moody, Chad Moody and Jessie Moody; brothers, Richard Moody of Chandler, Ariz., Harry Moody of Broken Arrow, Okla.,  and Billy Moody of Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Maxine.
