Phyllis A. Kingsley, 83, passed away on June 29, 2017
Phyllis Arlene Kingsley, 83, of Leon, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Wichita.
Visitation 9 - 10 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado.
Phyllis was born in Butler County, Kan. on Aug. 14, 1933, to the late Elsie Fern (Simons) Sphar and George Littleton Sphar. She graduated from Leon High School. She worked many places, including the Leon Cafe, Bluestem School System as a bus driver, Leon City Clerk, and Wal-Mart. Phyllis enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles, as well as sewing and embroidery. On Feb. 6, 1953 she married Philip Kingsley in Las Vegas, Nev., who survives her. She is also survived by: daughter, Deb Kingsley of Leon; sons, Doug Kingsley, Todd Kingsley and wife Sherry, Craig Kingsley, all of Leon; sister, Dorothy Flattery and husband Robert of Leon; grandchildren, Brian Kingsley and wife Jayne, Kristen Smith, Nikki Huckabee, Sarah Herring, Justin Kingsley, and Taylor Kingsley; great grandchildren, Daniel Huckabee, Jr., Addison Huckabee, Kaydence Smith, Ellianna Smith, Everly Kingsley, Paisley Herring, McKenna Herring.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, George R. "Jr." Sphar and wife Dorothy, and Harold Sphar; sister Luella Finch and husband Melvin.
