Ronald L. Mullins, 62, of Eldorado, KS, lost his battle to Lung Cancer on May 6th, 2017.

“Ron” was born on Dec. 23rd, 1954 in Campo, CO to Louie and Hazel (Jones) Mullins. As a young boy and teenager, he enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, game of marbles, riding motorcycles and spent endless hours tinkering on vehicles with his brothers. He never could get enough of his mama’s fried chicken and cinnamon rolls either.

Later in life, he married Nancy J. Williams. They relocated from Canon City, CO to Benkelman, NE. There, he worked for Burdette Geihsler’s Repair Shop and Justus Feed Mill. He was also a member of Larry Blecha’s stock-car pit crew. After his divorce, he moved to Kansas where he worked for Dustrol Inc. repairing asphalt on the highways and Consolidated Oil Management, Inc. as an Acid Truck Operator. At the time of his cancer diagnosis, he made his move back to Colorado to enjoy time with family and admire the “beautiful” mountains.

Ron was an avid Nascar fan that also enjoyed fishing, writing songs, gambling, BBQ’s with family/friends, drinking beer and entertaining everyone with his guitar/singing skills.

He is survived by his children – Chris (Stacy) Towns, Monica (Ryan) Eaton, Ronnie (Trish) O’Brien, and Valerie O’Brien. Siblings – Lester, Maurice, Johnny, Francis, Homer, Norman, and Sharon Kay. Grandchildren – Zach, Jenel, and Tegan Towns, Cody and Zachary Eaton, Justin, Shauna and Hailie O’Brien. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, father, and siblings – Leon, Pharis, Eva, Daryl, and Marvin (Doug).

Family and Friends will gather together in Colorado, on Aug 5th, 2017, for a “Celebration of Life BBQ”.
