Fred B. Zipprich, 90, passed away on April 15, 2017

Fred B. Zipprich, 90, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at LakePoint in Augusta.
Rosary 7 p.m. Tuesday at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Funeral mass 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta.
Fred was the youngest son of John and Mary (Traufler) Zipprich born on May 5, 1926 in Jersey County, Ill. He graduated from Jersey Township High in 1944 and continued his education in structural engineering at Washington University in St. Louis and Wichita State University. He worked at McDonnell Aircraft in St. Louis and Beech/Raytheon Aircraft in Wichita where he retired in 1992. On Oct. 30, 1954 he married Marie Theresa (Kilcran) Zipprich at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, Ill., and she survives him.
Other survivors include: daughter, Cynthia Zipprich of Kansas City, Mo.; sons, Colum Zipprich of Florence, Ky., Larry Zipprich and wife Karen of Oak Hill, Va., and Keith Zipprich and wife Mandy of Hutchinson;grandchildren, Kelsie and Kristin Zipprich and Ryan and Abigail Zipprich.
He was preceded in death by his   brothers, Sylvester, Jerome and Gervase.
