Flood conditions for both Whitewater and Walnut Rivers

The Flood Warning continues for the Whitewater River near Augusta until Thursday afternoon.  Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. 

The river will continue rising to near 25.3 feet by
Wednesday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday
morning.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet...Flooding over cropland becomes more
widespread.At 4:30 p.m., Whitewater River at 22.04 ft.  Flood stage is 21 ft. Is expected to crest at 24.9 ft. around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Walnut River near Augusta is currently at 24.97 ft.  Flood stage is 23 ft. The Walnut is expected to crest this evening.

Residents are advised to be aware of flooding in low lying areas and on secondary roads.
