Several tents throughout El Dorado are raising money for local organizations and events.

Driving east on West Central you may notice a giant blow up gorilla. That gorilla is there to alert you to the Flinthills Services fireworks tent.

Firworks lovers that spend $150 can enter a drawing for $150 worth of fireworks. The Flinthills Services tent also offers buy 1 get 3 specials.

Profits from the tent will be donated to the Butler Blazers to compete in the Special Olympics.

One tent over from the giant gorilla just west of Rent A Center in El Dorado is the El Dorado High School band tent.

In the EHS Band tent, everything is half price and all the proceeds benefit the El Dorado High School Band and Orchestra.

Hard working EHS students such as Breckyn Poe (freshman) and Ethan Manke (freshman) are volunteering their time working in the tents.

Just down the road in the southwest corner of the intersection of Haverhill Road and Central Avenue is the Butler Community College women’s basketball and volleyball teams.

In addition to purchasing fireworks, Grizzly fans can pick up American Flag Grizzly t-shirts for $20. A portion of t-shirt sales benefits Butler football.

Sales of fireworks are allowed from June 27 to July 3, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; on July 4, 8 a.m. to midnight and July 5, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in El Dorado.
