Two days of repairs

Railroad crossing repairs scheduled for Tuesday, March 20 to Thursday, March 22 will close about 10 miles of U.S. 77 south of Augusta.  BNSF Railroad and RoadSafe Traffic Systems will close U.S. 77 at the south city limits of Augusta to Southwest 210th Street in Douglass. Work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. March 20 and end about 5 p.m. March 22.
Traffic will be detoured from U.S. 77 (Seventh Street) in Augusta west on U.S. 54 for 3.5 miles to Santa Fe Lake Road and south 11 miles to Southwest 210th Street. The detour will continue east on Southwest 210th Street for 2.25 miles back to U.S. 77 in Douglass. Both lanes of traffic will be closed at the railroad crossing.
The speed limit on Southwest 210th Street as well as Santa Fe Lake Road is posted at 55 mph.
