Friday's chase and crash

Four cars were hit and damaged in the area of Central and Main in El Dorado on Friday afternoon, the result of a police chase.  
The chase began around 3 p.m. in El Dorado when El Dorado police officers attempted to stop a car near Pine and Emporia Streets.  The vehicle fled from the officers at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle left the city’s north city limits and continued fleeing from officers before re-entering the city southbound on Main Street.  Near Post Road and Main Street, officers called off the chase, due to high speeds. The vehicle was involved in a collision near Central and Main at approximately 3:25 p.m.
The male driver was arrested for felony fleeing and eluding, aggravated battery, running an officer off of the road, and aggravated child endangerment.  
An 11-year-old girl was a passenger in the car at the time of the chase.  She did receive minor injuries, along with several other people.  
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office assisted and the Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
