Two cars collide at busy intersection, K-254 & Ohio St.

A Christmas Eve crash in Butler County left one person in critical condition and airlifted to Wesley Hospital in Wichita, and another person seriously injured and transported to Wesley Hospital by EMS.
Butler County Sheriff Kelly Herzet reports that the crash occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of K-254 and Ohio Street.
“According to officers’ reports and eyewitness accounts, an eastbound 2007 Dodge Caravan, operated by Devan R. Martin, 23, of Overland Park, Kan.,  was struck by a 2011 Camaro, operated by Daniel Molina-Sagastume, 24, Kansas City, Kan.,” Herzet continued, “The Camaro failed to yield the right-of-way.”
Martin, the lone occupant of the Dodge Caravan, refused treatment at the scene.
Molina-Sagastume, driver of the Camaro, was in critical condition and airlifted to Wesley.   In addition to the driver, there were four other passengers in the Camaro. Glenda Molina-Sagastume, in serious condition, and Louis Molina-Sagastume, 9, were also transported to Wesley Hospital.
Sheriff Herzet advised that motorists should keep in mind the rate of speed that the cars are going on K-254, when turning at any of the intersections along the four-lane highway
