Imagine making a journey to Bethlehem as Mary and Joseph did for the purpose of the census. On Dec. 14-16 from 6:30 to 9 p.m., people at Rose Hill Christian Church will step back in time to Bethlehem – a living, interactive re-creation of the town as it appeared over 2,000 years ago. Admission is free.

During the outdoor, guided journey, travelers will encounter shepherds, Magi, townspeople, livestock and Roman soldiers. Guests will also visit the inn, be turned away and pointed in the direction of the stable where the most precious gift of Christmas lay, the Christ child.

Following the Journey to Bethlehem, attendees can join the Winter Wonderland. Admission for this is also free. The church will be serving turkey and noodles with mashed potatoes, ham and bean soup, nachos, cookies, tea, lemonade, hot chocolate and coffee. Pictures with Santa, inflatables and crafts for the kids will be available as well.
