Ahmed "Mo" Almaliky, owner of Greek Stone Grill, will have a grand opening for the new El Dorado restaurant, located at 2401 W. Central, on Wednesday, Nov. 15.

The first Greek Stone Grill in existence, it's a dining destination that has a mix between Mediterranean, Italian, Greek and American cuisine – with an overall Mediterranean focus. All the menu items will be Almaliky's own recipes, with homemade foods as well. Two of his three sons will cook with him at the restaurant.

"I'm looking to make these people here in this area happy for their food. Because, you know, they don't have our food here. It's only Chinese, Mexican and fast food here. So I try to give these people, this community here, like, good food and good service – to make them happy [and] to make them have something new," Almaliky said.

He encourages people to experience everything Greek Stone Grill has to offer.

"If you come every day here and you try something different, you're going to love everything on the menu," Almaliky said.

For the grand opening, all customers will get to try a small salad, soup or hummus for free. In addition, Almaliky will have other ongoing discounts at Greek Stone Grill. Regular customers will get something free from the kitchen when they come in, and people who work for the City of El Dorado will have a discount every day.

"My goal is to stay forever here – all my life maybe. If I'm doing very good here, maybe I'm looking to open another location," Almaliky said.

Almaliky is wanting to hire four or five more servers.
