Shala Wills was recently honored.

Shala Wills, first grade teacher at Augusta’s Robinson Elementary School,  was recently presented the prestigious Golden Apple Award.  Mrs. Wills and her students were surprised at school with the award.  She received $1,000.00 worth of supplies from Project Teacher and treats for her students.  
The Golden Apple  Award recognizes educators in the Wichita area who are making a positive difference in schools. The program gives teachers a community-wide recognition for the creative ways they support, motivate, and ecourage a lifetime of learning, in and out of the classroom.  Winners are featured on a KAKE TV newscast.
Since 2003, KAKE has presented more than 400 Golden Apple awards honoring teachers in the area.
