It's time for the Miss Augusta/Miss Butler County Scholarship Pageant!

The 2018 Miss Augusta/Miss Butler County Scholarship Pageant will be held at 7 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Augusta High School auditorium.   The annual event always delivers lots of glitz and glamour, along with showcasing talented, beautiful young women competing for two crowns.
The event a preliminary to the Miss Kansas Pageant. Pageant Director Larry Strong and the pageant have been recognized state-wide for scholarship funds and producing a number of title holders.  The Miss Augusta/Miss Butler County Pageant is home to Miss Kansas 2015 Hannah Marie Wagner, Miss Kansas 2008 Emily Deaver Strom, and Miss Kansas 2010 Lauren Werhan Stradinger.
Returning as Master and Mistress of Ceremonies will be Michael Karraker and Audrey Lamar Moysen.  Special guests include Miss Augusta 2017 Cari Anne Cashon, Miss Butler County 2017 Kayla Hawkins, Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen 2017 Taylor Clark, Miss Kansas 2017 Krystian Fish, and Miss Augusta Outstanding Teen 2017 Natalie Rockers.
The evening will feature:
Interview - a brief on stage interview question with each contestant.
Beauty - Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit
Talent competition
Fashion - Evening Gown Competition
Special awards will be presented for Talent, Swimsuit-Evening Gown, and People’s Choice.
Special awards that will be presented are People’s Choice, Swimwear, Talent, and Success in Business.
Miss Augusta 2018 and Miss Butler County 2018 will each receive a $1,300 scholarship, and first runner-up, a $300 cash scholarship.
This year’s judges are Matt C. Childers, Jonathan McRoy, Ashley Ulmer, Chris Robrahn, and Lindi Simpson.
