El Dorado residents can now conveniently bank at Vintage Bank. The new branch is the seventh Vintage Bank location, and the grand opening was noon on Monday, Sept. 18. There was a soft opening on Thursday, Sept. 14 for anyone who needed to use the bank's services before the grand opening date.
Vintage Bank offers the entire banking suite: the lending side, business checking, personal checking and online banking. Willis "Wink" Hartman is the majority owner.
Steve Worrell, president and CEO, is glad to bring the community banking experience to El Dorado. A Butler County native, Worrell grew up on a farm east of Leon, and both he and his wife graduated from El Dorado High School. After starting Vintage Bank in Leon in January 2011, Worrell had always thought of opening one in El Dorado.
"We finally got the chance to do that, and we didn't want to let it go by," he said.
The building was purchased at the end of June 2016. It previously housed American AgCredit.
Worrell hopes the El Dorado branch will be a welcoming, professional place for customers.
"Customer service is always the most important thing, and we want to treat our customers well," he said.
