Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 430 Eunice St. in El Dorado, will celebrate its 100-year anniversary Sunday, September 24. All are invited to join in for part or all of the activities on this special day.

The celebration day begins with a special morning service at 11 a.m. The Trinity Bell Choir and Trinity Chancel Choir will share special music during the service. Pastor Micki McCorkle will welcome all and introduce several past ministers who will share a few words and memories.

The Rev. Leon Hayen, who served Trinity UMC in the 1960s, plans to attend, health permitting. The Rev. Charles Claycomb, 1987-1992; Pastor Rob Winslow, 1992-1997; and Pastor Steve Hysom, 1997-2017, are all planning to attend.

The annual Choir Fest is scheduled for 2 p.m. Trinity Chancel Choir will share favorite music from the past decades, 1917-2017. Following Choir Fest is the ice cream social, offering homemade ice cream, cookies and a special cake honoring the 100 years of Trinity UMC.

In Fellowship Hall, displays will be presented with photos of events, church family and highlights over the years. An open mic will be available for anyone who would like to share a memory, story or just a few words about their time at Trinity or with the Trinity family.

The church is looking forward to sharing this special day with friends and family – past and present. They welcome guests to join them.
