A request by Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital to rezone a 1.1 acre tract on the west side of its property from a residential zone to a commercial was denied at Thursday night's Planning Commission meeting in El Dorado.

A group of residents came before the Commission during the public hearing segment of the meeting and spoke about the many concerns they had should the Commission move forward and recommend it to the City.

A representative from SBA explained that the hospital would not try to anger the residents and that other options may be looked into if necessary.
