Some problems reported with mail in ballots

A problem has been reported with some of the mail in ballots concerning the formation of an Augusta Recreation Commission with a 1 mill levy increase.  Some ballots are blank or  almost blank.

The Butler County Clerk's office reports that there was a coding error for 542 ballots out of the 7,000 ballots that were mailed out. Those who received a blank ballot have been identified and will receive a corrected ballot by Friday.

The ballots must be returned to the county by noon on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
