Local musical group Amboo Ploy and the Bottom Feeders will be one of several bands performing at the Cardinal Creek concert at noon May 7 in El Dorado. Music starts to 12:30. Tickets are $5, and there also will be food and a bake sale.
Ploy, a native of El Dorado, is a blind music artist who plays harmonica to blues and rock music with his band. Other bands and artists performing will be North of Okie (rock, blues, country), Mark & Teresa Bochman of New Prairie Moon (Bluegrass), Steve Jordan with Made From Scratch (blues), and Graham Horton Page Band (Blues). There also will be special guests performing with The Bottom Feeders.
All proceeds from ticket and food sales will benefit kids in the form of scholarships. Last year, Ploy gave out 11 of them to help kids pursue interests in music, art and nature.
Other available activities for kids include tractor rides and making racecars out of vegetables for a contest.
