No one injured in Friday afternoon derailment

Investigation and clean-up continues today at the scene in Augusta where seven train cars derailed Friday afternoon.  The Burlington Northern Santa Fe train was traveling south through town when a witness watched a railroad car leave the track near the area of 12th St. and Custer.
According to local authorities six cars contained soybeans and soybean oil, and one held refrigerated meat.
No one was injured and nothing appears suspicious.
U.S. 77 south of Augusta is open, but Fifth Street is closed as railroad crews work around the clock to clean the area.
