Kenneth L. Guthrie, 73, of Towanda, passed away at his home on Feb. 13, 2017.

Kenneth L. Guthrie, 73, of Towanda, passed away at his home on Feb. 13, 2017.  His family will gather with friends on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home where his funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.  Kenneth will be laid to rest in Towanda Cemetery with military honors.
Kenneth’s life began on Nov. 5, 1943 in rural Stafford County, Kan.  He is the son of John H. and Minnie E. (Black) Guthrie.  Kenneth was a graduate of Butler County Community College and served his country in the United States Army.  He was united in marriage on Dec. 26, 1968 to the former Judy Wohlgemuth in Towanda.  Kenneth worked for Beech Aircraft for 42 years retiring as an engineer.  He enjoyed tinkering on projects, being outside and never quite finished his “honey do” list.  Kenneth is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Guthrie of Towanda, children Stacy (Allen) Adams of Towanda, Brenda (Danny) White of Towanda, and Sandra (Tom) Aitchison of Augusta, grandchildren Alex Hamlin, Chelsea Hamlin, Jaxson McCune, Jared White, Beth Parker, Lucas Aitchison, Caleb Aitchison, Tyler Adams and Justin Adams, great grandchildren Corey and Nova White, brothers John Guthrie and Keith (Janet) Guthrie, both of Eureka and sister Norma Harrison of Pratt.
