Romans 8 may be my favorite chapter in the entire Bible. There are numerous teachings concerning the Holy Spirit (23 references to God the Holy Spirit in the 39 verses of Romans 8).

There are incredible realities for Christians that can be celebrated every moment of every day:

• No more condemnation

• Being in Christ

• Jesus’ fulfillment of the righteous requirement of the law for us

• Walking in the Spirit not the flesh

• Spiritually minded life and peace

• Christ in us by His Holy Spirit — the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead

• Spiritual adoption so we call God Abba; Daddy; Father

• The internal witness of assurance

• Joint heirs with Christ

• Hope

• Spirit help in our weaknesses

• Spirit intercession for us

• God working things out for good

• Conformed to the image of Christ

• Predestined, called, justified and glorified

The inseparability of God’s love is then the “icing on the cake.”

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’ Yet in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom. 8:35-39).” NKJV

God is for you. His immeasurable love for you is filled with a passion for you to enjoy the spiritual blessings that are yours in Christ.
