Bill and Sharon Counterman started the Country Classic CD (CCCD) Dance on April 7, 2005 and have been running the dance ever since. Before then, a group called Golden Agers ran the event, but they disbanded due to family sicknesses.

The CCCD Dance takes place at 6 p.m. on Thursdays at the El Dorado Senior Center. At the dance on Thursday, April 13, attendees recognized the anniversary of when the Countermans began running the event 12 years ago. They were given a plaque, a trophy and an anniversary cake from Deloris Campbell. The Countermans were also crowned and given titles for the CCCD Dance. Bill was crowned "Chief Bill," and Sharon was crowned "Princess Sharon."

An Easter hat contest followed the CCCD Dance anniversary presentation.
