Annual event coming up!
The community of Leon is preparing for the annual Harvest Home Festival on Saturday, Sept. 22. Events are in downtown Leon. In case of rain, events will be held in the old grade school gymnasium.
This year’s schedule for Sept. 22 includes:
10 a.m. - Harvest Home Pageant sign up at Bluestem Elementary School.
11 a.m. - Harvest Home Pageant
1 p.m. - Craft Show, Car Show, Volleyball Tournament
3 p.m. - Bingo at the Senior Center. Bring your quarters. Family Fun Games at Heavenly Pizza, Kids Carnival, and the Hog Dog and Popsicle Eating Contest (follows Kids Games).
4 p.m. - Corn Hole Tournament
5 p.m. - Parade lineup
6 p.m. - Parade
7 p.m. - Variety Show
8 p.m. - Homemade Ice Cream Social
Fireworks Show at dusk.
Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs. No open containers allowed.
