Local artist's works keep gaining in popularity

The television show Around Kansas recently featured local artist Jim Clements during one of their episodes. The show included a number of his paintings, as well as information about his process, inspiration and award recognitions.
“I was honored that Deb Goodrich of Around Kansas thought of me for one of their episodes,” said Clements. “ It is a real privilege to be included in a Kansas-themed show.”
Clements, who’s art studio is located outside of El Dorado, is a western oil painter.
“As the cohost of Around Kansas, I love sharing people who reflect what Kansas means in positive ways,” Goodrich said. “Jim is down to earth, so incredibly talented, and many of his subjects are straight from the Kansas landscape. He takes Kansas to the world in a beautiful and meaningful way.”
The segment aired on the television show earlier in March, as well as being placed on Facebook, where it has been viewed more than 10,000 times.
“I’m excited by such a great response,” Clements said. “and happy so many people have taken the time to watch the segment and learn more about my work. I enjoy promoting Kansas through my paintings because I take great pride in my home state and want to share that with others.”
