Lytton’s touch added to Oz Museum
Since the opening of the Twisted Too Moto Art Gallery, adjacent to the popular Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum on W. 7th Avenue in Augusta, the gallery has filled with vintage motorcycles and original art work by local artists.
The latest is a mural by Jimmy Lytton and features the beloved characters from The Wizard of Oz.
“It’s really special to have an original work by Jimmy and it’s theme is perfect for the museum,” said Kelly Modlin, owner and creator of the museum.
The facility continues to bring visitors from around the world to see the special exhibits.
The museum’s unique design transfigured an old welding and machine shop into an attractive 4,800-square -foot display area. All sorts of repurposed architectural items have been used throughout the facility. Artisan touches, along with beautiful brick and stone work complete the experience.
The gallery is devoted to vintage motorcycles, cars, trucks, and toys with wheels. Some of the gallery walls contain original art work and innovative metal art.
“We’re still looking for more artists to paint a few more murals,” Modlin advised.
He encouraged anyone interested to contact the museum at 316-977-9257 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org, or find them on Facebook.
The museum will begin its spring/summer hours on April 1st, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is always free.
