Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum hosting Benefit Barbecue on Saturday
The Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum on W. 7th in Augusta will host a Benefit BBQ to help local families at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 15.  Suggested $5 per plate donation, with 100 percent of donations going to help others.

‘Wonder Woman’ playing this weekend
The Augusta Historic Theatre will be showing “Wonder Woman” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 14, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 15.  The movie is rated PG-13. Visa, Mastercard & Discover are accepted for admission and concessions.

Harry Potter’s Birthday Bash July 22
The Augusta Arts Council will host a Harry Potter Birthday Celebration from
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at the Augusta Historic Theatre.  “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will be shown at 10 a.m., followed by food and crafts. Dress like your favorite Harry Potter character for the contest.  Fun for all ages.  Tickets are $10.

WFO Guys  Car Show
The annual WFO Guys Car Show will be held from 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, in downtown Augusta.  $5 entry fee for cars.  Contact Jeremy Lawson at 765-2668 to enter.  The event is free admission for spectators.

Butler County Golf Open
The Butler County Golf Open, sponsored by the Augusta Chamber of Commerce will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at the Augusta Country Club, 1610 Fairway Dr.  For more information, call 775-6339.

2017 Cabin Class Golf Tourney
The third annual Cabin Classic Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Augusta Historical Society, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at the Augusta Country Club.  Tourney begins at 8 a.m. and lunch will be provided.  Please contact the museum at 775-5655 for more information and to register.

Municipal Band concert tonight

Bugs and Bees children’s exhibit at Coutts

The Art of Vino & Brew Friday night
The Coutts Museum of Art will host a fundraiser, the Art of Vino & Brew, a night of wine and beer samples with delicious Mediterranean themed pairings, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 14, at the Butler Community College Hubbard Welcome Center.

Drums Across Kansas 2017 Monday
Drums Across Kansas will perform at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 17, at BG Veterans Sports Complex, 901 S. Haverhill Rd. See the Bluecoats and the Blue Devils perform.

The Brown Bag lunch concert will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, at the Coutts Museum of Art.  Bring your lunch and enjoy live music during your lunch.

Band Concert and Bake Sale
The El Dorado Municipal Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at Forest Park, 900 N. Taylor.  The free band concert will include a bake sale fundraiser.

El Dorado Main Street Steak Bonanza July 21

United Way Kick-Ball Tournament July 22

The Andover Senior Center, 410 N. Lioba, will host a salad bar fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19.  Enjoy a variety of salads, beer bread, dessert and drinks.  Light lunch and wonderful company.  The public is invited.

The Douglass Senior Center will host the montly breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 15.  The public is invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast for a small donation.

The Douglass Friends of the Library will host a Ladies’ Day Out from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, at the Douglass Community Building, 206 S. Forrest.  Lots of vendors!


Back to School Community BBQ July 30
The First Baptist Church of Towanda and Community Partners will host a Back to School Community BBQ from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, at the Norman/Towanda Library Park, 620 Highland.  There will be book bags for K to high school age students.  Cool off with the Towanda Fire Department, a cake walk, games, and music.  Bring your lawn chairs.
