Augusta:

* ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ showing
The Augusta Historic Theatre will be showing “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10.    Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted for admission and concessions.

* Ballet in the Park Saturday
The Augusta Public Library and the Augusta Arts Council will host Ballet Wichita’s Wizard of Oz performance at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, at the stage area in Garvin Park.  The public is invited to the free event.  Don’t forget your lawn chairs or blankets.

* Senior Center Breakfast - The Augusta Senior Center will host the monthly breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m.  Enjoy a delicious breakfast for a small $4 donation.  Public invited.                                                                          
* Church of Christ VBS next week
Forge the wilderness and blaze a trail to Jesus at Vacation Bible School at the Augusta Church of Christ, 3500 N. Ohio.  All children 4-12 are invited to attend from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16.  Be a Trailblazer for the faith!

* UMC VBS next week
The First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio, will host Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16.  Discover your strength in God at VBS Hero Central.  All children invited.

* Summer Lunch program
The Augusta Summer Lunch program at Robinson Elementary School is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The meal is free for anyone 18 and under.  Transportation is available and pickups are:  1514 Ridgewood at 11:15 a.m.; corner of Hooper & Kelly at 11:25 a.m.; 1201 Money at 11:45 a.m..  Call 775-1116 for arrangements.

* Military Band outdoor concert June 16
The 35th Infantry Division Band will present a concert from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 16, at the stage area in Garvin Park.  They will perform music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.  This group is a perfoming element of the Kansas Army National Guard and known as “The Governor’s Own Band.”   Please bring lawn chairs or blankets.

*City Wide Garage Sale next weekend
The Augusta City Wide Garage Sale will be held Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17.


* Fireworks display at Augusta City Lake
Celebrate the Fourth on the third this year. The annual Augusta Fireworks Display will be start at dusk at the Augusta City Lake.  Stay up late and have all day on the Fourth for family fun!

Andover:

* The Peace Lutheran Church is located at 405 W. 21st, will host Vacation Bible School 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 16.

* Summer Concert in the Park June 17th
The Andover Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and KVWF-FM will host Clint Black peforming with special guest John Michael Montgomery live in concert on Saturday, June 17 in Andover Central Park.  In addition to the concert, various food vendors will be onsite at the event.  Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show at 7 p.m. Fireworks will follow the show.  Tickets available at: http://tickethookups.com/andover2017

Douglass:

* Douglass City Wide Garage Sale June 10
The Douglass City Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, June 10.  Please contact the city office at 316-747-2109, if you wish to participate in the event.  No individual permit needed for the city wide sale.

The Douglass Senior Center, 124 W. 4th St., will host the monthly breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 17.  The public is invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast for a small donation.

El Dorado:

* Municipal Band concert tonight
The El Dorado Municipal Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, at the band shell, 900 N. Taylor.   More information on the band can be found at: eldoradomunicipalband.com or on the Facebook page.

* Ballet in the Park Friday
Ballet Wichita’s The Wizard of Oz will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 9, at Forest Park, 900 N. Taylor.  The event is free and sponsored by the El Dorado Convention & Visitors Bureau.

* Kansas Oil Museum Ice Cream Social
The Kansas Oil Museum, 383 E. Central, will host a free ice cream social from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.  Enjoy Father’s Day celebration games, fun, and prizes.  The June Family Fun Day will also be going on under the big tent from noon to 4 p.m.  Admission to the entire museum is free for the entire day.

* Patomos Lodge #97 annual Steak Feed
The El Dorado Patomos Lodge #97 will host their annual Steak Feed from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, at East Park.  Enjoy steak, baked potato, and baked beans.  Bring your own service and cook  your steak.  $20 a ticket.  For tickets and information, contact Bruce Rose at 316-323-3368 or Gerald Bottorff at 316-323-2850.

Rosalia:

* Spoke N Word Freedom in Christ Rally
