Lots of fun activities Monday, Aug. 21

For the first time in 26 years, a total solar eclipse will occur in the United States. The Augusta Public Library is hosting a fun-filled Solar Watch Party from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at Shryock Park in Augusta. All ages are invited to view the total solar eclipse, when the sky goes dark. Our area will experience 90 percent totality.

Enjoy music, creating suncatchers and sundials. Food by FlutterBye Mobile Diner and Oklahoma Boys BBQ will be available for purchase.

In the event of in- clement weather, NASA’s live stream of the eclipse event will be shown at the library.
