Miss Butler County Outstanding Teen Taylor Clark is the new Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen 2017.  She was crowned last Saturday afternoon in the Teen final competition at Pratt Community College.  For her talent, Clark performed a drum solo to “Sing, Sing, Sing” and “In the Mood”.
Miss Augusta Outstanding Teen Natalie Rockers was in the top 10 finalists.
Krystian Fish, of Wichita and Miss Heart of the Midwest, was named Miss Kansas 2017 Saturday evening.  Her platform is “Be Unstoppable; Disability, Not Definition.”
Miss Augusta Cari Anne Cashon and Miss Butler County Kayla Hawkins both made the top 10 finalists.  Cashon won the Most Talent ed Instrumentalist and was a finalist for the Quality of Life Service Award.  Hawkins was the winner of the Inspiration Award.
Cashon and Hawkins both played piano for the talent portion of the competition.
“I’m so proud of Cari Anne and Kayla.  They both worked so hard this year.  And we’re so happy for Taylor Clark.  I see great things ahead for Miss Clark,” said Larry Strong, executive director of the Miss Augusta/Miss Butler County Organization.
Strong will soon be planning the 2018 Miss Augusta/Miss Butler County Pageant.
