Profits from concert go to local non-profit

The Andover High School Choral Department put on their “Off the Wall” concert on May 11.  The students decided they wanted the proceeds of the concert to benefit a local non-profit organization.
Sunlight Children’s Advocacy and Rights Foundation (SCARF) was chosen as the recipient.
The performers wore shirts that were designed by members of the chorus, which included the SCARF logo and a great message about giving children a voice.
Suzi Thien, executive director of SCARF, was asked to share information about the non-profit with the audience at the performance.
“What an incredible opportunity,” Thien said. “The best part was that all of this was student driven.”
SCARF received a check for close to $1,900.
