Miss Augusta and Miss Butler County are in Pratt

This week the Miss Kansas Pageant will celebrate 60 consecutive years in Pratt. Miss Kansas 2015 will be crowned during the final competition on Saturday, June 6.
Director of the Miss Augusta/Miss Butler County Organization Larry Strong of Augusta,  has been involved with local pageants since the first Miss Butler County Pageant in 1974. He's also attended every Miss Kansas Pageant since 1967, except for the two years he was serving in the Army, 1969 and 1970.
He’s looking forward to this year’s Miss Kansas Pageant, as well.  “Miss Augusta Hannah Wagner and Miss Butler County Kiah Duggins are two amazing and remarkable young women - talented, smart and community service minded. Either one would a great role model to promote the vision of the Miss Kansas and Miss America Organizations and the four points of the Crown; Scholarship, Style, Service and Success!”
Both young ladies have been busy this year with community projects and promoting their platforms. Wagner’s platform is “Fighting Women’s Complacency in the Workplace” and Duggin’s platform, “The Princess Project” which celebrates the fact that all girls can have the qualities of a princess, regardless of what they look like or where they come from.
This year’s Miss Kansas Pageant will feature a special concert by The Texas Tenors on Friday, June 5 at Dennis Lesh Sports Arena on the campus of Pratt Community College, where the pageant events are held.
Tickets for the concert may be purchased through Select-A-Seat at 855-755-SEAT or http://www.selectaseat.com/events/Country/texas-tenors.php
