  • Clay Hokr represented Kansas in the Saddle Bronc competition at the National High School Rodeo Finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming, July 13-19, 2014.  Clay qualified for the national finals based on results of competing in Kansas High School Rodeo Association sanctioned rodeos and the Kansas High School Rodeo Finals held in June at Topeka.
    Clay is the son of Bobby and Julie Hokr, El Dorado and Jennifer Campbell, Salina.  He is the grandson of Warren and Lena Campbell, Ellsworth, the late Bob and Ruth Hokr, Ellsworth, Joan Milene, Leon and Kenneth Schepmann, Holyrood.  Clay is a senior at Bluestem High School.  In addition to Saddle Bronc, Clay also participates in Team Roping and trains horses.
    The National High School Rodeo finals features approximately 1500 contestants from across the United States, Canada and Australia. Competitors vie for national titles, assorted prizes and a share of thousands of dollars in college scholarships.
