  • Community National Bank & Trust coming to downtown Augusta

  • New bank moving into former Emprise Bank/Prairie State Bank building

  • Dan Midfelt, President and CEO of Community National Bank & Trust, is pleased to announce the bank's plan to open a banking center in Augusta.  "We are looking for and evaluating new markets to expand in and given the recent changes in banking in the Augusta market, we see an opportunity for Community National.  We are very excited to expand to Augusta,"  said Midfelt.
    Eric Grooms, who is currently the Executive Vice President at the Winfield banking center, has been chosen to oversee the new banking center.  Midfelt further stated, "We are extremely pleased to have Eric Grooms, a native of Augusta who began his banking career at the former Augusta based Prairie State Bank, leading our efforts in establishing a banking center in his hometown." 
    The bank will open a loan production/deposit production office in the former Emprise Bank/Prairie State Bank building located at 512 State St. at the end of September.  CNB&T plans to file an application for a full service banking center to open in 2015.  The Augusta location will be Community National Bank & Trust's 27th banking facility within 23 communities in Kansas.  Community National Bank & Trust's local assets exceed $840 million.
