  • The USD 490 Partners In Education is planning a Sporting Clay Fun Shoot on Sept. 20 at Lynbrooke Sporting Clays, 1418 SW 120th, Augusta.
    The shooting time will be from about 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Five-man teams will be pre-squaded and teams need to be there 30 minutes early.
    The event will include 10 stations and 50 targets at a cost of $40 per shooter, which includes lunch. Additional games include Long Teal and others. In addition, mulligans are $5 each with a maximum of three per shooter.
    The reservation deadline is Sept. 5.
    There will be trophies, awards and prizes including Coleman products, a $300 fishing trip at Flint Oak and Royals and Chiefs tickets and item presented at the end of the shoot, as well as a drawing for a new $1,000 CZ Over/Under Shotgun. People do not need to be present for the shotgun drawing to win and tickets are available for a $10 donation through PIE at 316-322-4800; ask for Waneta or Melissa. Tickets also can be purchased the day of the shoot.
