Two former Butler County volleyball standouts now playing for the Friends University volleyball team are earning accolades before the season even starts.

Both Bailey Burnett, a Rose Hill graduate, and Hayley Young, a Douglass graduate, were named to the 2014 All-KCAC preseason volleyball team.

Both players are seniors for the Falcons. Burnett is the team's libero who averaged 5.1 digs per set in 38 matches last year. She ranked No. 1 in the KCAC and No. 18 in all of the NAIA. She recorded 10 or more digs in 32 matches and had four matches with 30 or more digs.

Young is one of the team's setters and plays on the right side. She averaged 5.3 assists per set and finished with 625 sets on the season. She also averaged 1.7 digs per set.

Burnett earned All-Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League honors when she was with the Rockets. Young earned All-Central Plains League in high school for the Bulldogs.
