Jeff and Kristin Kornelson of Wichita exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, May 17 at the Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plain, Kan.
Jeff and Kristin Kornelson of Wichita exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, May 17 at the Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plain, Kan. Greg Spring was the officiant for the ceremony and Russell Webb, the bride's uncle gave the scripture reading and blessing.
The couple was received in marriage by the bride's parents Terry and Gayle Oaks of El Dorado, the groom's parents Paul and Lynette Kornelson of Hutchinson and the bride's maternal grandmother, Marlene Webb of Protection, Kan.
Not attending the ceremony, but still present in spirit were the bride's paternal grandparents Sterling and Dorothy Oaks of El Dorado and maternal grandfather Fred Webb of Protection, Kan. and the groom's grandparents Harold and Hattie Kornelson of McPherson, Wayne Deckert and Margaret (Deckert) Edwards of Larned, Kan.
Kristin is a 2005 graduate of El Dorado High School and graduated from Wichita State University with degrees in Healthcare Management/Nursing. Kristin is currently working as a nurse at Wesley Medical Center.
Jeff is a 1998 graduate of Buhler High School and attended Wichita State. Jeff is currently a conductor with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
The bride was attended by: Maids of Honor Leslie Marshall and Lyndsey Martin, friends of the bride: Bridesmaids: Tara Rogers and Shelby Spainhower, sisters of the bride; Junior bridesmaid: Rylee Rogers, niece of the bride, Flower girl: Harper Kornelson, daughter of the groom.
The groom was attended by: Best Man, Jarod Kornelson, groom's brother and Groomsmen: Josh Hazelton, Trapper Tyrell and Paul Erickson all friends of the groom.
Ushers for the ceremony were Brett Oaks, brother of the bride and CJ Weber and Brent Patel, friends of the groom.
The wedding dinner and dance was held at the Wichita Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Following the couple's honeymoon in Jamaica, they settled into their home in Wichita.
