National Night Out Aug. 5

The City of Douglass will be hosting their National Night Out from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Douglass City Park and Pool.
At the event, the Methodist Church will be serving complimentary hotdog meals in the park pavilion. People also will have the chance to register to win a $100 gas card.
Other activities include the Elks Lodge Drug Prevention Trailer which will have games for kids and information for parents, as well as information about Douglass’ Neighborhood Watch Program and Butler County sheriff deputies available to answer questions.
In addition, the Butler County Animal Response Team will be distributing information on caring for pets during disasters.
Then from 6:30 to 9 p.m. will be a free community swim at the pool.
