It was a wild Jayhawk League finale for the El Dorado Broncos Tuesday night at Derby.

The Broncos scored two unearned runs in the seventh to defeat Derby 13-11, earning a spot in the NBC Super Regional.

Mintues before the game began, the Liberal BeeJays put a notice on their web page that they were not coming to the NBC, leaving open a spot.

In a see-saw game, El Dorado scored in the first inning when Sam Lane reached on an error and scored on Mikel Mucha's single.

However, Derby answered with five runs in the bottom of the first to take a 5-1 lead.

The Broncos sent 11 batters to the plate in the second, scoring five runs, three after two were out. Max Hogan had the big hit, a two-out, two-run single.

El Dorado tacked on two more in the third with Hogan driving in one with a single.

The Broncos added two more in the fourth with Mikel Mucha hitting a two-run single.

However, Derby battled back to tie it at 10 after six innings.

Wade Stramp began the seventh with a walk. After a sacrifice, Dylin Mucha reached on an error, putting runners on second and third. Levi Parker singled in Antonio Freschet, who was running for Stramp. Lane singled in Dylin Mucha.

Dylin Mucha hit a two-out homer in right in the ninth.

El Dorado will play at 4 p.m. Friday in the NBC Super Regional against a yet-to-be-named opponent.
