  • Whenever one begins to say “Thank you” to a group of people, there is always the fear of leaving someone out that should be included.  With that being said, it is with pride and joy in our community that we continue to celebrate the many business owners and volunteers that made the Brick Street Festival a huge success!
There were so many Business owners that contributed in a variety of ways.  Thank you to our sponsors that helped with advertising, donations of money, time and products!   Thank you to the Downtown businesses that remained open and gave people an opportunity to discover some of the treasures Augusta has to offer.  Thank you to the vendors and organizations for your participation.  Also, the Augusta Arts Council for organizing the motorcycle contest!
As with any big endeavor, there are many volunteers that give their time and effort.  Thank you so much to those of you that came early and stayed late to help serve our community.  That includes teenagers as well as adults!!  What a great opportunity to work together!
Thank you to the Ottaway family for bringing the carnival to Augusta this year.  There have been so many positive comments about how much everyone enjoyed this experience.  Ask any child that was there and you will see a big grin on their face as they ask “When do we get to do it again?”
A big thank you to the City of Augusta for all your support!  Thank you for your work sprucing up the downtown area prior to the event.  Thank you for your help with barricades, trash containers and water!  Thank you to the officers that were also present during the weekend!
On behalf of Downtown Augusta Inc., we would also like to thank you, the people of Augusta for your support and attendance!  Together we make an awesome community!  Even newcomers to our area didn’t mind saying so!
