Kids Need 2 Eat summer meal signs prohibited on city property
At the last El Dorado City Commission meeting Judith Storandt, Kids Need 2 Eat president, appeared before the Commission to request an exception to allow her to place signs advertising their summer meals on city property. She had been told she could not place the signs and was asking for an exception.
She said after she met with City attorney Jim Murfin last week she came away discouraged because he did not seem supportive.
He had told her he would let her know if the list of locations she had requested would be allowed.
Storandt did talk to Murfin again this week and he reaffirmed the city’s position that the building code says signs are prohibited on city property.
Storandt said she will be weighing other options to promote the program.
