  • Mayor Ben Lawrence let Andover City Council members know Tuesday evening all 10,000 wristbands are gone for this Saturday’s free concert in the park featuring The Little River Band.
    The concert in Andover Central park is sponsored by Andover Convention and Visitors Bureau, BOB-FM and 100.5 The Wolf.
    Natalie Stovall and the Drive will be the opening act, followed by The Little River Band.
    In addition to the concert, this year’s event will include a People’s Choice Barbecue Competition, sponsored by All Things Barbecue, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tasting kits will be available for $1.
    The show starts at 7 p.m.
    The City Council also:
    • approved a request by Epic Church for use of Central Park on April 4, 2015 for an Easter Egg Hunt.
    • tabled a vacation case at 1210 East Woodstone Drive until staff receives the necessary information to consider the request.
    • approved a request for 20 year specials for Cornerstone 4th.
    • approved the revised Developer’s Agreement for Cornerstone 4th.
    • approved a resolution indicating the intent of the Governing Body of the City of Andover to issue taxable industrial revenue bonds in an aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $3,500,000 for the purpose of purchasing, acquiring, constructing, furnishing and equipping an Aveda Institute school of cosmetology.
