  • The El Dorado Police Department is continuing to investigate a stabbing Thursday evening on South Summit.
    At approximately 6:43 p.m. Thursday, officers from the El Dorado Police Department were dispatched to 922 S. Summit to the report of a stabbing which had just occurred, according to Police Chief Curt Zieman.
    Officers arrived on the scene at approximately 6:44 and located a female who was the victim of multiple stab wounds. A short time later, a female suspect who was apparently the victim’s roommate, was located and placed into custody.
    The victim was transported to a Wichita area hospital by Butler County EMS in critical condition.
    The suspect was booked into the Butler County Jail on the charge of attempted murder in the first degree.
    Names are being withheld at this time pending further investigation.
    As of this morning, the victim is reported as being in stable condition.
