After a long hard grind on the diamond this season, several Butler County softball players were rewarded with AVCTL All-League Team selections.

Upon steering her squad to a 10-10 overall record, Rose Hill’s head softball coach Kim Waltman was honored as the coach of the year. Rose Hill had three girls make the First Team, while it had one second teamer along with three honorable mention selections.

While the El Dorado Wildcats may have only gone 1-19 this season, they were still able to boast a second team selection along with two players on the honorable mention team.

Headlining the list is Bailey Holt, the senior catcher from Mulvane, who was named league MVP.

Kylie Simpson, senior outfielder – first team

Kendra Baldridge, sophomore utility player – second team

Shanae Strate, junior second baseman – honorable mention

Kate Shields, senior third baseman – honorable mention

Shelby Simmons, senior catcher – honorable mention

El Dorado

Logan Morrow, senior utility player – second team

Kayla Smith, junior catcher – honorable mention

Destiny Bowlin, sophomore utility player – honorable mention
