  • Broncos explode for 22 runs, rip Derby

    Brandon Cuddy made his El Dorado Bronco debut a memorable one Wednesday night.
    The Seminole Junior College first baseball went 5 for 6, driving in 5 runs.
    He smacked a pair of doubles and a homer in the Broncos' 22-8 victory over the Derby Twins at McDoanld Stadium in both teams' Jayhawk League opener.
    El Dorado amassed 23 hits, a season high, in winning its fourth straight.
    The Broncos travel to Wellington tonight for another league contest.
    There were other hitting stars for El Dorado besides Cuddy. Clayton Dalrymple got four straight hits, going 4 for 5. He also walked, giving him 5 for 6 on-base.
    Morgan Oliver hit a pair of doubles and a single in five official at-bats. He also walked, going 4 for 6 on-base.
    El Dorado scored in every inning but the eighth.
