Jaylyn Agnew anchored a strong team performance for Andover High School's girls track and field team, which placed ninth with 35 points at the state meet this past weekend.
Agnew won the high jump event for the third year in the row. She also took sixth place in the 200-meter race and was a part of the Trojans' 4x100-m relay team that placed seventh. Nicole Klusener, Mia Hays and Gloria Mares also were a part of that relay team.
That was the second medal for Hays, who took third place in the triple jump (34 feet, 9.5 inches). Mares also earned a second medal after placing seventh in the 100-m dash.
Klusener finished 11th in the high jump (4'10").
Nicki Zielinski had a big meet. She took fourth in the 3200-m run (11:30.94), seventh in the 1600m (5:21.04), and helped the 4x800-m relay team take 14th. Carly Flake, Brittiany Clark and Grace Ball also were a part of that relay team.
Flake also took fifth place in the 3200-m run (11:33.24) and eighth in the 1600-m (5:21.41).
Grace Ball took 13th in the 800-m race (2:33.20)
On the boys side, Eli Renoux took eighth place in the long jump (20-08.50). Jacob Herrs took seventth in the high jump (5-10).
