  • I happened to watch the last (Augusta) City Council meeting and was very happy to hear Councilman Childers address a rumor.  Although, I had not heard the latest slander against our mayor, I was very pleased that Mr. Childers addressed the issue and was able to show how ridiculous it was.  Bravo!!

I heard Augusta council person Jones mention that there are still cars being parked in yards.  Ok, what’s going to be done about it?

Mighty proud of the Orioles softball team!  Way to go!
    -------------------------
El Dorado and the Salvation Army will really miss the Pinkstons.  Good luck to Katie and Charles.

I read Ms. Moore’s letter recent letter concerning Tiahrt and Pompeo.  It’s nice to know that some people will vote for other issues in addition to pro life.  There’s lots of things to be concerned about.

In reference to the Viewpoint about the Sheriff officers not receiving enough pay - I agree, but there’s others in the county that deserve some attention, too.  It’s easy to tell the commissioners to “open their wallets”, but they have lots of others to think about, too.
