The Friends of the Bradford Memorial Library kick off the fundraising portion of the library renovation with a donation of $10,000
The Friends of the Bradford Memorial Library presented Library Director Kristi Jacobs and Library Board Chair Bill Kloeblen with a donation of $10,000 to kick off the fundraising portion of the library renovation.
The Friends of the Bradford Memorial Library is an association of individuals interested in assisting with the support and advancement of the library in various ways, financial and otherwise. The group hosts periodic used book sales and an annual sloppy joe dinner and dessert auction. Money raised from these events is made available to the library to help fund the children’s summer reading program, and to purchase books for the library’s outreach program. Money is also made available for special projects as requested.
The Friends organization regularly meets on the second at noon Monday at the library on the odd numbered months. Lifetime memberships are available for $150; annual memberships are $15. New members are always welcome. For more information, contact the Bradford Memorial Library.
Officers are Morgan Metcalf, president; Robert Proctor, vice president; Judy Cole, treasurer; and Susan Skewes, secretary.
