Rose Hill’s softball team pulled off an incredible run at the Winfield 4A Regional to earn a berth at the Class 4A state tournament next week.

The Rockets defeated Winfield 14-6 in the opening round. Rose Hill built a 6-4 lead going into the final inning. In the seventh, Rose Hill scored eight runs to seal the game. Kendra Baldridge had a double, triple, and a home run for Rose Hill. Shanae Strate and Dani Sherwin went 3-for-5 with three singles apiece. Kate Shields was 2-for-4 with two triples.

The Rockets scored three in the third to propel them to a 7-3 win against Mulvane. Brooke Tolbert had a triple, Kylie Simpson was 3-for-3 with a double. Shields and Baldridge each had aonther double.
